Young People’s Initiative

The Dalit Vikas Abhiyan Samiti (DVAS) is making significant strides in empowering Dalit and tribal youth in Bihar through a comprehensive array of programs focused on social, mental, intellectual, and digital development, which not only provide education and skill development opportunities but also encourage youth to become active agents of change within their communities; one of the organization’s key initiatives, the Bihar Ambedkar Youth Forum, serves as a crucial platform for engaging young people in social activities by creating an inclusive environment where youth can express their views, participate in discussions, and collaborate on social change efforts, thereby promoting community unity and leadership among tribal communities, as this initiative encourages youth to learn from one another’s experiences while preparing them for leadership roles through discussions and exchanges of ideas that empower them to develop actionable plans for social change, ultimately contributing to strengthening community bonds and fostering collective action; in addition to promoting education and competitive exam preparation with special coaching classes for UPSC, SSC, and other competitive examinations, DVAS places a strong emphasis on comprehensive education, ensuring that youth are well-equipped for academic success while enhancing their ethical thinking and problem-solving skills; furthermore, recognizing the growing importance of digital skills, the Bihar Ambedkar Youth Forum has launched initiatives targeting digital career and livelihood development, aiming to train 1,000 youth in essential digital competencies necessary for success in today’s job market, thus positioning participants favorably within the digital landscape; overall, DVAS is committed to connecting participants with potential employers and platforms in the digital arena, enhancing awareness about career opportunities, guiding youth toward successful professional pathways, and playing a pivotal role in driving social change by encouraging Dalit and tribal youth to actively engage in social and political activities, which enriches their lives and contributes to the transformation of their communities, leading to a more equitable and just society.                 Theory of Change:
